#15 Review of a failed interview

← All posts
I have been applying for jobs recently and would like to share my experience of a failed interview.

It was a phone interview, and as a non-native English speaker, I feel I am kind of sound nervous. And there was a question that the interviewer asked me whether I had the experience to point out the inconsistency of a design system. I remember that I answered not very well. One reason is that I was nervous, and another reason is that I misunderstood the question. In a follow-up email, HR told me they need the candidate to be good at pointing out the inconsistency of a design system because it would be an essential part of this role.

After Review, I conclude with some tips:
  1. Improve English speaking and be brave to express ideas in English.
  1. Figure out the real questions that the interviewers want to know.
